Mirai Bridge Capital Sdn Bhd (“MBC”) has entered into a strategic co-investment partnership with Crewstone International Sdn Bhd (“Crewstone”) through Thirty Three Digitec Solutions Sdn Bhd (“Digitec”), strengthening a private credit platform focused on expanding access to structured non-bank financing in Malaysia. The partnership is led by Crewstone with an initial RM5 million commitment bringing together Crewstone’s capital and strategic expertise, MBC’s regulated investment-management capabilities, and Digitec’s established technology and lending infrastructure.

Digitec operates within a financing ecosystem that has facilitated more than RM500 million in financing transactions over the past three to five years and works with a network of more than 30 KPKT-licensed money-lending partners. The platform currently supports approximately 83,000 borrowers and processes around 8,000 applications per month, serving segments including gig economy workers, micro-entrepreneurs and borrowers with limited traditional credit histories.

Technology and automation form a key part of Digitec’s operating model. Approximately 60% of applications are processed end-to-end automatically, while improvements in underwriting and repayment monitoring have contributed to an approximately 700-basis-point year-on-year reduction in default rates.

The partnership is expected to support the continued expansion of Digitec’s loan book, strengthen its underwriting capabilities and broaden access to structured financing for underserved segments of the Malaysian market. It also represents the beginning of a wider strategic relationship between Crewstone and MBC, with the potential to pursue additional opportunities together in the future.

“This partnership reflects Crewstone’s belief that in a market that is already competitive and becoming more so, the strongest outcomes will come from firms that know when to join forces and scale with intent,” said Keng Fai Wong, Chief Executive Officer of Crewstone International.

“We are pleased to be working with Crewstone on Digitec and believe this partnership brings meaningful strategic value to the platform,” said Tommy Ng, Co-Founder of Mirai Bridge Capital.

“Crewstone’s participation reflects strong conviction in the platform we have built and in the opportunity ahead. This initial commitment strengthens our ability to scale the loan book, deepen our underwriting capability, and expand access to structured financing across segments that continue to be underserved,” said Ng Kae Shen, Director of Thirty Three Digitec Solutions
